I used two of them and size 15 needles instead of the recommended 17, only reason being i didn't want to buy more needles!

Don't forget, homemade cookies are a special treat for the holidays! These days it seems that most 'cookie gifts' are store made, so homemade are always extra special. Besides, homemade can be decorated a million different ways! I just got a wilton cordless cookie press for my birthday and as such baked up a cookie storm! Roughly 6 dozen cookies for about $2!!! Talk about thrifty! It is a miracle in a tub. 

I was on Glamour.com earlier, my other obsession, when I saw a blog about how it is the simplest and most gorgeous of eyecolors. So, being sick and having just purchased my own little tub for $1.69 (1.75 oz) I went to the ladies room and added some to my lids and lashes. GORGEOUS.

ADD TIGHTS! I absolutely adore them. I must admit I am a newbie when it comes to tights, but I LOVE THEM. At anywhere from $2 to $15 they are a cheapie way to inject some life into your wardrobe!

They are essentially flannel with applique. We double hemmed the sides for a clean look and then blanket stitched the gator on. The ribbon was machine sewed on and the fringe was handfrayed and knotted!

Last night I made/finished an Indian costume for my BF's sister. She is going to a 'pilgrims and indians' thanksgiving party today and needed a costume. Go to your local fabric store and by green (preferably light spring green) and green thread and a zipper to match. The basic point is that you need to make a tube dress! Find some awesome fabric, mine is a gorgeous shade of teal/blue in taffeta (Joanns @4.89/yd!). It needs to have some body to it, pick something like a taffata or brocade so it will have body.

Buy some no roll elastic for your waist band.
